New shroud brackets

As part of the re-bedding project I discovered that the starboard shroud connection bracket holes drilled through the deck were huge and double drilled!

These were filled with epoxy after the holes were "cleaned" and then re-drilled.

Original holes, looks like an OEM production mistake! I'm glad I found this. The aluminum corrosion and pitting was incredible on the other side.

I also decided to replace the brackets. The new ones area 1/4" wider and now 4"x4" not 3"x4". I got the new ones from on on line metal shop for less than ten bucks ! I also ordered a set at 3"x4" but a bit wider like the original, I'm not going to use them so if anyone wants them PM me.

Installed :D
thats one off of the list!

a little bit of sanding the cut edges, filing the corners and some "brasso" does wonders!

I used:
www.speedymetals.com

they were fast and the prices are great.
