just bought a c22 and i am trying to keep it original i would like any specs on the sliding galley she should be in the water in early sept neat port ritchey fl

Welcome to the site! Yer gonna love it here cuz there's all kinds of folks just waiting to give a hand!

Just so happens I pulled my galley out this spring and have no intention of putting it back in. For the cost of shipping, it's yours.

Don't know where you live the rest of the year, but I'm up here in Michigan. So if it's feasible for you and you want to come and get it, let me know.

Otherwise I can take some pics and send them your way.

I shipped my galley from Ohio to TN and the shipping charge (ups) was about 100 bucks. I was able to buy a box from them that it fit in.

For my two cents the galley that comes with the boat is not something I would want to store water in the tank or cook over. There are many more safer and cleaner options available today.

If this is John that's posting, I know he winters in Florida, but don't know where he lives the rest of the year--might be close enough to stop by and pick it up or meet somewhere.

Like I said, I have no intention of using it, but I hate to toss it as it might be just the thing for someone else.

What are you planning to do for a galley when you get your boat going, Mark? I don't remember you saying anything about it.

I finally cut into the last remaining foam area on mine, the starboard rear next to the cockpit. The foam was dry as a bone so I sealed it back up and left it.

I REALLY like what you did with yours, Larry! Might eventually do something like that. Until then, a cooler will do the job!

If Blu by you isn't interested in the galley, I might be. Could you PM me some pictures? Never seen one and I might be reluctant to give up the space under the cockpit seat. Like you, I hate to see something good go to waste.

OK folks, finally got around to taking pics of my galley. Again, I will not be using it. Cost is: you come get it or pay for shipping, it's yours.

I'm a bit off topic, but I noted in your photos you have removed your toe rails. Would like very much to see photos of reinstalling them. My toe rails are still off,trying to decide if I want to paint them are not. Seeing them go back on may give me a pointer or two on how best to reinstall my own.

Has anyone built a replacement galley for the slide out?

Last year I was hoping to design and build a galley but was overcome by life! This off-season looks like I will be working the hull (I have a bad keel pin assembly leak). But I would like to design the galley on the very cold nights.

Who has some thoughts on a weekend galley:
1) sinks
2) water storage and supply
3) cooler/refer
4) storage

I would also like to hear from those who have removed the foam from the stbd side. Are you glad you did?

I pulled my galley and table. I replaced the table with a pine table that I got at Lowes. I really do not miss the galley and now have extra space. I just bring a cooler on board, the freshwater tank that is part of the galley is useless. In the late 70's bottled water was unheard of (except in Europe). We just drink bottled water (same as we do with the camper) and use it to make coffee. Drinking water out of a 30 year old tank is more than my first mate could handle.
I don't cook much on board but the thought of cooking in the cabin in the summer heat was more than I could handle. I hope to get a rail mounted grill for next season.

I pulled the foam out of mine this spring. Had to have been 400+ pounds with the water trapped in it. My boat floats nice and flat vice about 15 degrees to starboard.

You'll find postings and pictures of my removal on the board.
