The sky is supposed to clear up and be nice for a couple of days. Wow two or three days without rain. Enjoy the weekend but take a moment to remember why we have Monday off in the first place. Thank you for all those that have given their lives for your freedom.

Have a good one guys! We're expecting a beautiful partly cloudy afternoon with a high of 90, and southerlies at 10 with gusts to 18. Should be a great sail after work today for me.

There has been so much rain here, I hope I don't have to start sailing to work!

Perhaps as a people and a nation we need to recall in our hearts and minds the Eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five!

The forcast for Joe Pool Lake for Saturday is 96 degrees, Partly Cloudy, winds out of the South at 25 kts.
Our club has our annual Blessing of the Fleet scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Followed by a cookout at the marina, followed by a long distance race beginning at 1:00 p.m. (2 laps around the lake, approx. 25-30 miles) I guess I'll sleep all day Sunday to recover, lol.

The trip out to Cat Island is looking iffy here - Sunday looks okay at 1-2 chop and winds at 10, but Monday forecasts 2-3 sea chop and building winds at 15. That 7 miles of Mississippi Sound is notorious for getting vicious quickly. And having to be back at work Tuesday morning doesn't leave me any window to wait thru.
If it was EE I wouldn't think twice, but the little Cal is too small and light for me to take offshore unless I am very confident in the forecast..
But I used to be invincible, whatever happened ??

I got my mooring in today and put sails on and had time so I went out for a few hours and had more of that blue stuff covering the clouds.

I dissembeled my Johnson 10 tonight ('63 QD24). Picked it up last winter and just got it to start last week. Planned on changing out the pump impeller. Opened it up - what pump impeller???? It had one vane left and rubber chunks everywhere. Parts counter, please.
