Finally here in the Seattle area we had a beautiful day! It MUST have hit 60+ degrees!

Diane and I headed for Destiny! We stopped at the fuel dock and paid our 4.30 a gallon for deisel and topped Destiny off. We motored out in the 6kts of breeze out past the jetti and unfurled the sails! We sailed at a leasurely clip of 2.5 kts for about an hour and the wind simply petered out! You'd think as sailors this would be horrible. But no, we drifted along for another hour finally surrendering the the beauty of the day and furling the sails back up. We then simply drifted for hours doing nothing! Diane put on some classical guitar music and we sat on the bow in the sun!

We finally decided to come in. At home I preped Forplay for stepping the mast! I can only imagine how long it has been. The tabs are over ten years old and I bet it has been even longer. After stealing enough parts from Lady Di I surrendered. The mast will not be up today. Enough. I just need to go to the marine store and get a few more items and I can step the mast. I hate canabalizing one for another so Lady Jo gets all her goodies back tomorrow. If West Marine has what I need then tomorrow. Easter. Forplay will get the mast raised!

Ah, it has been a good day! I think I might even have a bit of a sun burn!

I remember sunshine. Glad ya had such a pleasant day!!! With all the rain during the last week in the Ozarks one would think it was the Pacific Northwest.

We got out Saturday and it was sunny! Yay! But it was 40 degrees with a 10 mph wind,, so not only sunburned my nose, but wind burned and cold frosted the cheeks too! Nice day sailing overall

It was indeed a Glorious day in the Pacific Northwest. I too got out and worked on my boat. Back in 2008 I rewired 90% of the boat and have never really wrapped it all up. Well in the Sunshine and 64 Degrees yesterday I popped open the electrical panel and ran the last wire from the electrical panel to the mast inside the cabin for the anchor light. I voltage meter on the it and power is flowing as designed to the end of the wire.

I still need the new water tight electrical through hull for 5 wire / 5 pin wiring. Then I will run the new wires up the mast to the new LED anchor light and new steamer deck light combo that have been sitting in a box in my library for the last 6 months. But the electrical panel is now 100% compete and ready for a second solar panel to be connected for the Port side. I will now generate double the power I've had for the last 2 years with the single panel. My boat is almost ready for serious overnight sailing trips planned for this Spring!

Yippy! I've never seen any mountain Goats while sailing though. Yes whales, large numbers of Bald Eagles, seals, drunken power boaters a plenty, but never a mountain goat. I love it!

We go nuts out here for a little sunshine I tell you what!

My daughter was accepted at Moody Bible Institude there in Spokane!
We are making a mad dash over this weekend to check out the digs but Taryn will be living over there this fall and I bet Diane will want to visit a lot! LOL!

Maybe even drag over the C22 and sail onve of the lakes!

What I know about Moody is they searched the country and decided on Spokane... They teach there own pilots and have a hanger right next to ours! And we both work this weekend so I'll be there Saturday an Sunday.

I'm off Friday an we could go sail if your in town and have some time
But that is cool! Let me know what your plans are!
