Keel pin
I need a new keel pin assembly. Mine has rusted and cannot be trusted. thanks.
Okay someone on the Forum was making these. Did that ever happen with that person.
I know 69shark (Captain Scott) had one made. He let me help removing the old one. Contact him, maybe he still has the plans, I know it was quite pricy but very well made.
Oh I found Captain Scott's web site with the keel pin job we did, photo's and all. Check it out!

He has 48 photos of the step by step prosess. THe 6th page has photos of the old and new pin and brakets.
Thanks

For mine, I removed all the parts and pieces.
I took a few photos of how they were installed on the boat.
Then I took them to a local machine shop that deals with boats on a regular basis.
I handed them the parts, used the photos to help describe what the parts where, answered one call confirming the use and then provided a healthy amount of cash.
What I got a few weeks later in return was a perfect fit set of one off keel brackets and pin.
I tried to get commintments for several sets to help lower the cost but there were no takers. Unfortuantely it was I believe around 400 bucks and thus to pricy to just buy extras for those in need at a later date.
Someone on the forum was going to make a bunch but I never really heard what happened to him. Maybe he'll speak up again?
