Don't forget Goodwill

Yesterday I had some time to kill between work and my daughters swim and dive meet, thought I would check out the sporting goods stores for any end of the year clearance items that would be nice for the boat.
No big seasonal deals (yet), but I have also been looking for a cook kit that would fit on the 8.5" wide grate of my Kenyon Marine Stove.
Camp kits at the sporting goods, and marine outlets run $45 and up.
Goodwill was between the two big name sporting stores so I thought I would give it a try.
15 minuites later I'm leaving with a cook kit that has a frying pan, 2 pots/covers, three plates that all nestle together for $4.99 :D
You never know what you may find when you go the thrift stores.

Don't forget Goodwill - Excellent reminder. I went in one west of Atlanta on vacation last year and found a heavy duty commercial sewing machine for $75. Had to do without it tho as it wouldn't come apart enough to fit in the car..but as Capt. says you never know what's in some of these places.

Sailing stuff at the Goodwill... Brilliant and it fits my limited capital. Never thought of it, truly inspired.

Thanks
