How do you install one of these? Do I have to replace the entire cable?

Before running out and buying that, check you boat.
The aft stay on the C22's is split. There should be an aft stay adjuster there already. Maybe it is missing? Maybe it is free floating and not hooked up properly?

Here is a picture of it. Hard to see but it is there top left of the photo!

I have one but it is worn out. The adjuster is smoth so it is hard to turn i guess once i get it set i can just leave it but i figured for $39 it might be nice to have a new one. I was looking online and it says something about swage connections. I dont know if you need a special tool for that or not

swaging involves a 40 ton press with the correct dies, and is best left to a professional rigger.

Steve, your statement conflicts with what you signature line says. j/k

Ha funny,

I noticed that too.

In Steve's defence, a press is kind of a really large, slow hammer.

You can get a swagless fitting such as a sta-loc to attach it.

I don't think C22 came equiped with back stay adjuster standard.
Mine does not have one and does not appear one was ever installed, no holes.
I'm thinking of installing one of these split adjusters

Depends on how you define "adjustable".
