We're dry docked for a bit longer while Cathy's leg heals... Thanks! We needed that.

Looks like fun. I need to get a waterproof case for my camera so I can take some footage underway.

Is it typical to tether the dingy that far back from the boat? I've never sailed a sailboat large enough that it needed a dinghy, so I'm just curious and wondered if it ever interferes with coming about or jibing?

Thanks for the comments!

It is not very common to tow a dinghy in these conditions but with mine it worked well. It needed to be that far back because it does surf the waves pretty quickly for 100-150'. With 50' of rope the motor got a kick in the back that way:P

Btw here's the design for that dinghy

Surfing down the waves can get pretty funny, the max recorded on the gps is 10.4 knot (average for 5 seconds, so actual surf was more)... wish I had the camera ready that time!! These Chrysler boats love to sail
