c22 table mounting

does someone have a picture of how the table on a c22 mounts to the wall. my boat has a piece of grey pvc with couplings at each end. Is this original? I would imagine the original would be stainless of aluminum. The pvc seems to work ok, but it needs to be fastened to the wall to be stable. There are 2 holes in the table on the edge of the table near the wall. What originaly went in these holes?

Well,

I just put mine back in for the first time in 3 yrs,,, kinda nice since we always just stashed stuff on the floor and ate on the step to belowdecks...

But mine doesn't have anything securing it to the wall,, I put some cloth there to keep it from scratching... I wouldn't mind seeing some picts on what people have also...

Thanks,
Billy

The Sea-Shell-E's table only attaches to the floor. The tabletop itself is free of any evidence that it might have attached to the wall.

My c22 has a mounting on the wall. The table has a folding foot at its center, which supports the table. On the wall are two horizontal strips of wood ( about 3/4 inch square ), the length of the table, and separated by the thickness of the table. The table top slides between these, and there are two latches that slide down through holes in the table top to secure it in place.

For those that care, the base of the C22 table mount and the piece that bolts to the table itself are sold at camping world for about 8 bucks if memory serves. Very cheap and easy fix to make a little nasty part of the boat look nice!

Mine mounts the same as slane1124's. The problem I have is the pole does not seem to come out of the floor mount so its a little hard to make the dinette into a berth.

69Shark thanks for the Camping World suggestion, I may have to replace the whole unit if I can't get it apart.

Trev,

There are a few screws in the base holding that on,, but nothing on mine that held the post in unless you see something coming in from the side. May be just corrosion there and a squirt an soak of PB Blaster would do the trick to get it loose...

this the one?

looks like it would fit snug with the crimped ends...

Our original stand was pretty gnarly when we got her. It had been submerged in water for a while. I always thought a length of PVC might work, but never tetsed he theory.

Table brackets

These things rock, Ive installed them on a couple boats, both times with amazing success. super stable, if installed correctly there is no amount of force on the cantilevered end that would slide the port side out of these brackets. I installed mine in the C22 just below the searail level so you have to angle the starboard side of the table down to slide the port side in, then drop the center post in. This way the searail keeps the port side from popping up if the starboard side has weight put on it.
I can draw a diagram if this is not clear.

Hi

My boats table just mounts to the post in the floor and the table. No connection to the wall at all. I do not have the original table though. I am making a new one. I have the same problem as Trev, I can't get the post out of the floor holder.

Scott showed me the bases from Camping World. They are and excellent replacement and I'll be using them.

Thanks
Alan

I did get mine apart. I ended up taking the base off the boat, soaking it with WD40, a couple light taps on the base with a hammer and it came apart. After a good scrubbing its all clean, shiny and looking new again. :D
