I keep hearing about Chrysler Sailors meeting and had a crazy idea. Why not pick a location and plan a long weekend get together with as many Chrysler sailboats as we could get in one location. Any thoughts on the idea?

Also the power guys would be glad to see you at their annual event in Stockton, MO if a few of you can get together and head that way

I've been promising Dave and Franz I'd get there for years but it never works out.

Some pics from that event are here

Besides knowing more about Chrysler outboards than anyone, Franz was a sailboat dealer back in the day, and used to own a C22 !

I was wondering how those Chrysler power boat guys would feel about us Chrysler sailors. That might be a fun get together if we could get a few sailboats there. I'm not sure if I'll be ready for a trip like that until next year though.

I'd be in for a Northwest get together!
Heck I could even manage two Chryslers and a Benny!!

The way I see it, in the Northwest we could have a get together at Kayak Point

I figure we could launch in Everett and sail/motor to Kayak point a few hours away on a Friday evening or Saturday morning, I could bring Destiny as a gathering platform or place to meet, My daughter in one of the 22's and my neighbor in the other. We could camp out or stay aboard anchored at Kayak point. Kayak point is a great state park where if you have family that want to be a part but not sleep aboard, they could drive in, camp, stay at a hotel, and visit for the days activities! LOL! There is even a decent launch right there at Kayak point for those that would want to launch right there or leave from right there. Kayak point offers bathrooms but not much else in amenenties for a boater. Kayak point does however offer a very nice beach area that can get quite warm in august!

Destiny could be used as a gathering point and also a place to cook a meal or two. We have a nice dinghy that could be used for ship to shore activities, we have a pair of ocean kayaks that could be used for entertainment, and we have a HUGE cockpit for an evening of just chatting and telling tails. Heh heh! Billy can vouch for that!

Oh yeah, we anchor Destiny off the main beach because we love to people watch and the beach closes at sunset so a very busy day to watch boaters come and go, swimmers play kids yell, etc but at night it is so private and quite you may be surprised what you can do on deck of your own boat . . . . but i digress . . . . he he heh!

OK, so the idea has been in my head for a while! LOL!

OK Pacific Northwest sailors! ANYONE INTERESTED?? I'd think August because I'm gone in July! ( sailing )

How cool to have 5 or 6 C22's anchored together!

Hmmm...

Think I have the first 2 weeks of August off, schedules not out yet but I did request it. I mentioned it to Pam and she may need some coaxing, something muttered about a lot of work and we could just stay on our lake bla bla bla,,, but I've wanted to get over there and get some salty air and sea water under the keel...

It would be really cool to get 4 C-22's together and get some picts and video! I'll be pushing for a road trip!

OK Then,
Sounds like we have a plan!!
I will indeed put together "Get Together"

ALL CHRYSLER SAILORS:
Look forward to a PNW get together!!! I will gather up all the details and start a new post.

Alan, Clearly you have a great sense of humor and fun, I may ping you for help. Billy, I expect you to show up even if you have to use one of my boats! LOL!

This is short notice but I believe we can gather a few boats and have some fun! I would even be open to public postings asking for any and ALL Chrysler sailbaots not just limited to the follks here.

Input and ideas are extremely welcome and defintitley asked for!
Feel free to ping on or off list. My contact info is readily available on my site listed in my signature.

If there is anyone within reasonable travel distance and is interested, let me know. We can most certainly see what we can do to accomidate you!

Look forward to a new thread on this subject in the next few days!
