It's back, where it sat for 3 years. I did not wont to powerwash the botom paint of in my brother's bilding. An it is a lot wormer an less windy in my drive. A 2,000 psi. powerwash does a good job removing all that old paint. Nice to have a truck an trailer for moving the boat. Rudder blade, I put a new rope on it bouth ends of rope to rudder. My rudder is just a peace of hard wood coverd with fiberglass, It woudd be easey to make a new one. But mind is OK. This boat has had littel use, has not been off the triler in 16 years. Outboard is a old chrysler 12hp (280) it has spark, rebilt carb.,rebilt fuel pump, so I hope it will start. I tryed every thing to get it to turn but it wont, I tend to run a grond a lot an being able to stear the boat with the outboard is a big help. Any way the boat is is looking good, I am steal trying to post photos,I have every thing but no how?

To post, you have to get your photos on the interenet somewhere. If you have your own site that is perfect.

IF not then upload them to one of the many photo web sites like shutterfly or whatever you like.

Once your photos are on the internet, you can link to them from here. Just put the URL in a reply, Highlight it, and then click the "IMG" button on the reply page.

Hopefully this makes sense to ya! GEt them photos up, We'd love to see them!

IIRC - the OEM Chrysler OB ( I still have mine, kept it ..don't know why) did not turn to steer.. the previous owner got rid of it for one that would turn so he could steer in an emergency ..not trusting the OEM rudder blade..fearring if it hit or caught on something it would be quickly gone...

From what I can tell, the original rudder is indeed glassed over plywood, I thought it was foam... I have to replace the little peice that fits in the leading edge between the cheeks, that is gone and has exposed the inside ply to water.... any thoughts on how best to seal the exposed ply and attach this little missing piece?
