Funny, I was thinking "Thank God it is not close to me!" LOL! I'd be sitting on 3 C22's! Just what my wife would love to see!

Incredible amount of boat for under $300 or so.... AND.. this does not look like a project boat at all! Usuually you see c-22's sitting in a field, broken down covered withall sorts of stuff over the years... this is actually floating in a very nice slip... I see a new keel winch... the sails alone, the motor mount are worth it.... it looks sail away to me... the cushions are even there.. looks well cared for.

Maybe it is me but I am selfish and trying to build the NE fleet and also trying to lure FranS back into the fold....( I think this has her name on it... nice Fall sail from NJ to NY -- beautiful Fall foliage along the shore, hot choclate and a warm sweater...and a new C-22 with a good keel pin.....

After a closer read, looks like FranS wouldn't be improving her lot much with this one - the ad says
"Donor recommends Keel mount bolts located midship near dining bench may need attention in near future."

That being said I wish it was closer to me, I'd jump on it.

Who's idea was it to end the auction when I will be sailing?

Fran if you or anyone here wants it I will not bid, but it would be a shame to see this one go.

I keep Boat Angel on my Ebay alert list. Always hoping for something close to me. Apparently down my way we never donate boats, we just drive em till they drop because I never see any closer than Georgia or Texas.

Do keep in mind that even when the boats go cheap there are some paperwork and handling fees in the fine print. Well, not fine print, they are good about putting it in big bold font.

I think Mario has the right idea.... strippn' her down for racing... hey check out the catalina 22 "sport" it is essentially the same idea for 14G's

I missed I didn't get back from the lake in time, I hope it went to a good home. It would be nice to see the new owner pop into the group.
