29th bid

Post by Wai Whare »

Well I guess the 29th bid is the lucky one. I am the new owner of the C22 from British Columbia. She crossed over the mountains last week- end and will be sailing on Ghost Lake Alberta. This boat has done some traveling in the last few months, from California to British Columbia and on to Calgary Alberta.
All of the posts on raising the mast have me a bit nervous. I hope I can meet up with the other Chrysler owners in Calgary to see how it's done.
The last mast I helped to raise was on a Cat rigged boat and we managed to drop it on my car. Strong stuff that carbon fiber.

Welocme aboard. Capt. Scott's step by step instructions with photos are invaluable. Don't worry, just set up the bridles and lines and its not difficult. We installed a hinged mast step which we believe will take alot of the "pucker" factor out of it. :-)

Welcome aboard Tony!
Congratulations on removing a temptation from me! LOL!

NO I'm not in the market for a third C22!

BEst of luck on your mast! As Fran said, make up some bridles and have at it! Keep a few guys around for the first time or two for comfort factor however it is not bad at all once done!!

Check my link below and let me know if you have ANY questions!
