Hey guys
I was crusing past posts and noticed a concern about the strength of the swing keel brackets. The gentilman that is making my new main sail used to work for Chrysler sailboat division. He told me that one day they took a completed 26' hull and deck with the swing keel installed and rolled it around a paved area at the factory 5-6 times letting the iron keel flop in and out and they didn't have a failure. Now I have no way of knowing if this is true or not but, thought it an interesting story.
