I got out twice last week. 10 knot winds on the beam on day 1, overcast, first time for 2009. First time with the new (Used) motor. It worked excellent. Had a small leak around the rudder post. I took on about 1 quart of the Pacific in 4 hours on the water so it was not bad.
The next day I crawled throught the seat hatch in the cockpit and found a very oxcidized metal clamp that brock off in my hand when I checked it. Yikes! I put on 2 stainless clamps in oposit directions. Then I sanded the bottom of the boat. Then I had it put in the water and sailed it for another 4 hours, in about a 2 knot wind and rain the last hour. No leak, it was a good day in my rain gear running around Puget Sound.
It snowed a couple days later.
Thanks
Alan
