Rudder rope replacement

1978 26 foot. ------------- Does anyone have photos/diagram of rudder rope replacement. --- My boat is in the water. Can I tighten the bolt holding the rudder on so the rudder does not float up? Black Mountain Hills of South Dakota. ------ Pactola Lake. ---------- Thanks !!!!!!
