We made the local news....well sort of. there is a clip of us cruising our chrysler 22 around viewing the tall ships. We are in the last fifteen sec of the story. pretty cool. it was a lot of fun. It was also our first trip onto lake superior. i will post a video of pictures and video when i finish editing them. too much fun.....we also had three other people tell us that they use to own a boat just like ours.....must of been a pretty popular boat back in the day.

Dido, I agree, many pictures to edit. We didn't get up to Duluth in time Thursday for the Parade of Sail due to a wheel bearing that needed replacing. Friday we took in the ships (and crowds) at Canel park. Saturday we replaced the bunk carpet in the trailer (since the boat was in the water for 5 days), stayed in port, warm and dry. Sunday the weather finaly got better and spent the afternoon sailing with the ships that were giving rides, logged about 30 miles chasing them around. Monday we went out for their departure at noon. Cool stuff watching the tall ships hoist all the sail they had to get moving in the calm to 5kt winds.

Kevin, it would have been fun we could have crossed tacks last weekend.

Thanks....and bondo we were only up there on sunday....we spent our day in the bay cruising with the tall ships. after that we cruised up to the superior entrance side of lake superior. we wanted to avoid the large crowd of boats since we are fairly new to sailing. We did about 14 miles that day between cruising and sailing.
