Hi Guys, I'm restoring a 14 foot dagger for my kids/Dad...ah, who am I kidding, it's for myself, but anyway, the boat is in descent shape, but it's missing a mast step, and has some damage to the rubrail and deck. Hull looks great. Anybody have any details pics of the mast step? I'll need to fabricate one out or aluminum or something and need something to work off.
Much appreciated!
Here is one I tried but may not work/last. It's made out of oak...

Welcome to the group & good luck with your project!
I haven't seen a dagger before and would love a picture of the boat. Oak should hold up as far as a mast step goes. It's been used on many other boats with proper protective maintenance. It may only last you 15 or so years.
Far from an expert on fiberglass myself, you might check out this site as a beginning point. http://www.diy-fiberglass-repair.com/index.html
Best to you

Re: dagger mast step
I had one made it cost $85 but have yet to try it out as the weather is not quite sailing weather...just about ready to winterize. I could send pics if you like but it's rough copy of a aftermarket...
