Motor Mounting Plate
Motor Mounting Plate
I need to replace my wood motor mounting plate on my C20. It was a teak? block before 8.5"x10"x2". Having a hard time coming up with something to replace it. Can't find any teak blocks. Would any other wood work well for making this?

Wood Plate for motor
Hi there:
I used a piece of hard wood off of a 2 x 10 and it works just fine. May not last as long as teak but it does the job.

White oak is hard to find around here. I used mahogony from Menards. Look closely, some of their boards are glued together, but you can find the ones that are a solid piece.
