Check your existing mainsheet. Original might have been a 3 to 1 purchase, but it may have been upgraded since it was new. My mainsheet is now a 4 to 1 and needs almost 60 ft. Something else to think of... I just installed a new main halyard and ran it aft to the cockpit with a turning block and a rope clutch. Used it today for the first time and I love it. Makes hoisting and adjusting the halyard tension for trimming super easy. You can see it leading aft in the pic, just didn't get a pic of the rope clutch too. The clutch is mounted in front of the winch, so if you need a little more tension it's very easy to crank it. You will need 60 feet of halyard to make it work.

ok guys got all my running rigging in today, I am still learnig to sail so i got a differnt color line for every use, I have red, bluegreen, black, wht with green, white with red, im going to looklike a box of crayons learning to sail by color, if you see me just act like you dont know me lol.
