I have a 2 year old grandson I'm looking forward to spending time with as we get closer to a launch. I'm also interested in keeping everyone safe and on board my vessel. This week I'd like input from the fleet concerning life lines, dog lines, tethers, hand grabs, harnesses and the like. Let's leave PFD's & throwables out of the discussion - we know we should have them. I'm looking for preventive measures. I've seen some of your pictures with inboard railings added. Love to have some close up shots of location and mounting options.
Have a great week!

As far as dogs go,
We sail with a Corgi on Destiny and Lady Jo.
When we first got our Corgi, she was a cockpit queen. NEVER left the cockpit for the bow. Even at anchor in a calm bay. She has a life jacket she must have on. We eventually added the white life line netting to the life lines all around Destiny. The day we put it on, our Corgi became the queen of the entire boat! LOL! We leave the dock and she runs to the bow where she perches like a queen watching the other boats! This stuff is so nice for the dog that I'll likely put it on the C22 also.
Here is a shot of her looking rather confident and the netting in the background!

My Jackapoo always wears his boat coat(life jacket) and I too am concidering the netting a friend put it on his Bristol and works well with his dog. in rough weather Buddy wears a teather stays in cockpit or in cabin if he comes out of the cabin he waits at companionway for the teather.
