Almost ready for the keys.

Post by Franklinp40 »

Got a slip for a few days at John Pennekamp coral reef state park. Been working to get the boat ready. Picked up a cruise air a/c unit off craigs list for the dock. The hatch is bigger than the canvas bag so I has to make a piece out of plywood to cover some of the hatch. I also found a nylon "door" which is weighted at the bottom and cover the entry way with out having to put in the wood slats. I had to redo the velcro on it and on the door way but i like it better than the wood for getting in and out. Was that stock on the boat or something they made? Redid the wiring for the lights and added a GPs/Depth finder unit from Eagle ($169!! at bass pro). Painted the bottom and bought some cool cushions that bend into back rests from west marine, they are on clearance for $39 down from $100. Bought a electric skillet and coffee maker since we will have dock power. Going 3 teen kids and myself so I put in a LCD tv to keep them amused and of course a therma cell mosquito repeller for the bugs. new used honda 10hp on the back with the charging hooked up. Fixed missing batton in main and found the sail bags under the boat to put the sails in. I remade the bridles that take the mast down too. Removed 35 years of lake erie charts and books, as well as a 35 year old coffee and tea set. Creamer turns to concrete by the way. I will put up oics when I get back. Thanks for everyones help here getting this thing going. Hopefully all will go smoothly. here is the seat but they are sold out and no longer $39. http://www.boatersworld.com/product/MP80810514.htm

If you are going to throw away the old charts of Lake Erie let me know. I have an idea for an out of date chart. I grew up on the lake and would like to decorate a table.

thanks
