A must read for all sailors

I just finished reading Two years before the mast by Richard Henry Dana. Written in 1860 about what it was truly like on a merchant sailing ship. Being a live aboad now it put me in awe, and makes me applicate what those before me endured.

My Great Grand Fother, retired off the Great Lakes, What a life of sailing he must of had back in the day of those great sailing ships.
