New Lewmar Portlights

Postby C22Bob » Mon Apr 03, 2017 11:05 am

Got my new Lewmar Portlights installed. Little pricey, but well worth the money. Very sturdy, all aluminum contstruction, and they open ! :)
Large enough so that I only had to enlarge the existing cutouts. These are the 4R and 4L models. The early C22s only had the oval portlights, but on the 1980 (and maybe the '79) mine were already this shape.

They look great, as does your boat! It looks like you have the poptop model C22...do you ever use it?

Bill,

Thanks,...Yes,..it's nice to have, but it's heavy and a pain to get up and locked into position. There's no spring assist at all...just some aluminum pivoting arms. Needs a redesign...possibly with something like gas powered struts...;that's a future project :)
