C 26 rudder head dimensions

The PO modified the rudder head on my C26 and the last time I had it out I almost lost steering while motoring
Close to shore. The tiller mount slipped on the shaft almost resulting in a power on grounding. Very fortunately I always carry an assortment of tools and was able to make a repair that worked. The boat is in WA and I live in CO. I have decided I should replace the repaired rudder head with a new unit. can someone give me the width of the stock rudder head. I want to make a new one that the original tiller will fit.

The tube coming up from the rudder on mine has an outside diameter of 1.5", as well as a slot for a key.

I would include a picture, but I'm not exactly sure how

Thanks for the reply but I need the dimensions of the block itself that the tiller straps attach to that is clamped to the rudder post. Also my original rudder stock does not have a key , a picture showing the key on the post would be much appreciated.
