I was thinking of splashing my boat this weekend but after further examination, I see some items that need attention (or not). WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Are these actually blisters? Looks like boat acne:)

And of course the much discussed Mast Step problem with radiating cracks:(. Why are the cracks spreading and oozing a brown sticky substance.

I can't make out much from the photos. If the bumps are raised, you might sand them down and try to see what is going on. When I sanded the old bottom paint off of mine when I bought it there were some weird dime sized areas that were higher than the rest of the hull. By that I mean the bottom paint sanded all the way off while there was still a bit left on the surrounding areas. I just bottom painted over them all. My boat is on the trailer more than in the water, so I don't worry a lot about blisters.
I also can't see the ooze on the mast step, but I would guess it is from wood swelling, and pushing out some water. I would be concerned enough to investigate. Perhaps a small core sample could reveal more. Even if things are solid, I would definitely take steps to stop the water ingress. If not solid, the repair isn't too bad if you are comfortable working with fiberglass. I ground out all the cracks on mine, and filled with epoxy, and some faring compound. Some guys on the forum changed the whole step, and did some pretty impressive repairs which I am sure you can find.
Looks like a nice boat over all. Enjoy it!

The "Blisters" are not raised, just a wet white puss emitting through the bottom paint. Like a zit.

Closer look at the oozing brown stuff.

I was just reading about blister repair and they recommended letting the blisters dry out for 6 months in some covered area. I think if you do some google searches you'll find lots of info
