Proper Storm Jib Size for C22

Post by tdupras »

Hi everyone,

I'm in need of a storm jib (hank-on) if my furling system doesn't turn out to work so well. I am having a little difficulty figuring out the proper size though for my C22.

Any suggestions?

I have what I thought was a storm jib, but now that I measured its a bit large for a storm...Luff 16', Leach 13', Foot 8'6"and there is a 12' leader at the tack.
However I have never flown it, usually the 90 with a reef or 2 in the main will handle the higher winds.

Here is a site with a lot of info for sailing measurements for standard rig C22's
