shorter Shaft - Remote Throttle

Hello everyone,
The 25" Shaft has less options for motors. Is it possible to install a short or long shaft as long as it has remote-throttle? I would imagine that we can have the motor seating much lower since we do not need access for the controls.
Has anyone tried this? Will it work?
