Privateer

Post by Bill »

Hi , I’m a new owner of a privateer. The boom block that attaches to the track on the underside of the boom is missing. Part # 25146. is this available or what is a substitute? There’s a number of things misrigged that I’m sorting out. How is the rudder designed to be rigged? Not sure if I understand correctly how it is supposed to function. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bill

Bill,
I have no experience with the privateer but I checked in the document section where all the Chrysler manuals are. The Privateer Manuel is there and has quite a bit of information along with some photos that should hep with proper rigging . As far as parts go you will likely just have to look at the pictures and find something that will work. I wouldn’t think you will have too much trouble.

So, it may have been the least expensive, but it was still huge!

Sadly, the boom block isn't removable, not without removing rivets, not something I wanted to do.

So I took drastic measures and customized my pirateer.
