Lone Star 13 Rigging

Post by lpd283 »

I bought a LS13 this past weekend and I'm not sure how to running the rigging. Some seems original while other stuff has been possibly added later. Any input would appreciated. Hard to tell in the documentation section from the drawings how I need to route the rigging ropes.

There’s not much to it. Jib sheets and a main sheet. I have my main sheet led through a swiveling jam cleat on the cockpit floor just aft of the mast. I added fixed jamb cleats on the port and starboard side decks aft of the stays. The main sheet attaches to the end of the boom and runs through a single block than travels along a looped line attached to the outside corners of the transom. It returns to another block at the rear of the boom, runs forward along the boom to a block vertically above the jamb cleat on the floor. Run the end thru the swiveling jamb cleat and that’s your control for the boom. I have a cleat on each side of the mast for tying off the main and jib halyards. Hope this helps.
