 How about an area on the site that could be used exclusively for boat pictures? Ooo. I like the idea but I'm betting that would be very space intensive thus making it much more expensive. Heck my photo's alone could bring the sight down. Add everyone elses photo's in and I'm thinking it woul...

I've only been out once with mine in whitecaps and a short interval between crest and I too took up a couple cranks on the Keel Cable and no keel bang. Maybe 6 foot waves, with the tops blowing off. Now of course I high tailed it right back to cover behind Jetty Island, but I must say I was very ple...

I would only go with a long shaft on my C22.

Case and point. Me solo sailing, chop on the water, me on the bow dropping the Jib. I'm much thinner then my old 300+ pounds but the prop was breaking the surface in the chop more then I would like.

Be prepared long shaft is my $0.02 worth.

Hmm, I must say I like the idea. However I'm thinking of a time I was in rough water and needed to bring the keel up. Looking at your photo's, under the keel and the cradle. Put down a 1" or 3/4" sheet of plywood on the ground. Put you floor jack('s) with wheels on that. Slide the whole rig back. Possible tip here too. The Keel pocket is kind of laying down "L" shaped as I recall. Once you drop ...

I'm in agreement with get a flashlight and look at the pin from underneath the boat looking up in the slot at the pin.

If that looks good, do a float test. If it hold out the water and the pin looks good, It's my opinion that I would sail on.

Okay, yea, I've refinished the OEM wood covers. I sanded them down good and gave them like 4 coats of a clear water proof stuff I bought maybe 10 years ago before I even owned a boat. So they look original but they are truly water proof. I used the stuff on the wood bits of diving gear I made. I don...
