I assume that you have removed the set screws from the collars. Sometimes there are two screws one deep inside and another put in behind it to keep the first one from backing out.

I bought all of my standing rigging from Seco South, 2111 34th Way,
Largo, FL 33771 phone 727-536-1924
They had me send the old rigging after I had it adjusted with the mast up.
The rigging they supply is top notch stuff...better than original.

Thanx Bobby...that is a beautiful painting...something that I would never be able to do. I am in no hurry to sell my boat and I even have my slip reserved for next season. I have placed an ad on Craigslist and also on the Potter Yachters web site. If the right person comes along with an offer that I...

Thank you EE and Capt. Scott...I am going to list on sailingtexas. Some times your mind makes a promise that your body can't keep !!! I will keep reading the forum and chime in to help out any newcomers, but when I get another boat it isn't going to be one that requires a major overhaul.

Selling my C22

I have decided to sell my C22, Wabi Sabi. When I purchased the boat I was a bit younger and had grand visions. The long restoration project taught me a lot about sailboats and also about my self. I am grateful to all on this forum who have helped me realize my dream of sailing this boat, but after t...

I replaced my bunks (C22) with pressure treated 2 by 6 lumber. it was quite a job to get them to conform to the shape needed to fasten them to the riser posts. I used ratcheting straps to coax them onto the riser post pads and then drilled the holes for the bolts. Two people definitely would be a bi...

I have done extensive work on my boat, 1976 C22, and have never noticed any flex in the hull where you have described. I have sanded the entire hull and I would think that I would have noticed it. As others have said...it probably is not a worry as I do think that this is a thinner section of the hu...

That is a great idea Bob...I thought about doing that some day also and I did look at the Dutton- Lainson. Yes they are quite pricey new, but many times you get what you pay for...or you pay dearly for going cheap.
The idler pulley is also a great idea.

I have the Tohatsu 9.8 and I unplug my fuel line while the motor is running to empty the carb of fuel. I was advised to do this by a knowledgeable West Marine employee. So far I have not had any problems with my outboard.

Bobby...I have the Tohatsu with the extra long shaft. I had my C22 out today on Lake Michigan and the waves were about 2 foot swells...my prop came out of the water occasionally and I have the Garelick motor mount with 15 inches of up/down travel. You definitely need a long shaft.
