Good anchors arn't cheep, I use two lines on mine. One to hold the boat. an one at the other end of the ancher. The back side, just a small line coled up in a milk jug, that I throu with the anchor. Boom Rig
I have not even made up a Boom Rig, an have not rased the mast on my c-26. But I think that is what caused your failer, as your mast was comeing down it must have been in a big strean. Don't know what kind of line you use but it must not be able to strech much. I would leve a littel slack in it, bet...

My winch did the same thing, whin I take the boat out of the water I leve the kill down about 10%. That keeps the boat certer on the traler, but don't forget to take up the slake after the boat is out. I did not, so when the boat went back in the water the cable had slake in it an the winch frewhell...

Hi, on my c-20 I keep the battery topside in the box by the tiller with the gas tank. Makes it handy for the fish finder. If you need to keep it locked up. Put it inside on the portside along side the mast suport. My outboard takes care of my battery. It is a fun boat to sail, Varry good in ruff wat...
