Interesting... I also use my four stroke 9.9HP mainly for low speed manuevering. it is very tricky.... I had mounted a 4-blade 10" 5 pitch ( mickey mouse ears ) prop for better braking but for some reason it created incredible vibrations all through the hull at any speed... went back tothe OEM ...

MIND THE GAP!

Look above at the great pic in Bhcurly's post... you will clearly see a big gap betweenthe top of teh hatchboards and the lip of the main sliding hatch... now ... this is great for ventalation.. but lately.. had a AMS ( marine surveyor) at the c-26 yesterday.. I thought I would pass along some model generic information... He loved the boat and said the hull is VERY strong and thick ( he said back then they were afraid of fiberglass and really laid it on thick... he said a modern mass produced boat today...

I still use my OEM main.. just got it back from sailcare -- they put in a new "foot rope" really didn't need it but they upsold me on it.. that was about it for what it needed other than a good cleaning and some slides.. ( which fell off anyway)
