Winter projects installs

I went out to the boat and started to install the projects I worked on over the winter months. The cushions, curtains and ipad mount are in place. I am working on a Lexan cover and the first fitting for that I did today. I still have to trim it out with a wood strip and install the window tint but i...

If you are going to throw away the old charts of Lake Erie let me know. I have an idea for an out of date chart. I grew up on the lake and would like to decorate a table.

thanks

To that point the original manual suggest letting the keel down all the way and then bringing it back up about 1 turn on the winch. I was just curious if there is a best practice out there?

Thanks guys. I am on a small inland lake and did use a trolling motor part of last year because I had so many problems with my outboard. I was pricing new gasoline outboards and saw this Mercury as I said the price tag was double that of gasoline powered. I had never seen anything like this and was ...

mercury electric outboard

I was in Bass Pro today and saw an electric 4hp motor. It looked just like an outboard but had two toggle switches on the front one for on/off and the other for forward reverse. It carried a hefty $2,000.00 price tag. I thought it was cool and started to look for info online but can not find anythin...

Where are you located in Ohio? I keep my boat at Heuston Woods but might like to try a road trip this summer. I was wondering where you sail your boat.

Mounting a depth finder transducer

I got a Hummingbird fish finder for Christmas and am starting to think about installation on my C-22. I was going to mount the transducer on the stern but a friend suggested that I mount it inside the hull in a bunch of silicon. My questions is has anyone done this and if so where did you mount the ...

Some beautiful work looks good. It was warm here the last couple of days but still plenty of ice on our lake. Enjoy the sail and if possible post some pictures for the rest of us who can only dream about sailing.

The location of the double block is not a problem. These are the halyards so as long as the lines run free you should be ok. I have never had any problems raising or lowering the sails.

pictures of sail la vie rigging

Attached is a link on how the main and jib halyards are rigged on my boat. The blue line is the main and the yellow is the jib. The red line is there to show how the jib sheets are run. (And yes the jib halyard is a mess the 90 degree block needs to be replaced and the line is messed up). I have the...

I got so mad at my outboard that I put it in the garage and bought an electric trolling motor. I used this last season on my c-22 but with no electricity at the dock I had to carry the battery back and forth. I think I am going to look at options for outboards this season. The lake where is keep the...
