Putting up Christmas lights!!

OK, I have a tendancy to go a bit overboard ( a sailing term thus making this legal content LOL ) when it comes to Christmas Lights. I figure since this directly affects my Chrysler 22 I figured I could show it here and see what ya think! I made it many years ago and it has been a fantastic display ...

Maybe a geting a dinghy on loan with a motor to go out to the anchor? Beautiful shots! I'll be out tomorrow on the 75 22'. A bit nippy but still very fun! Sailing season does not end for us. Sometimes the marine will freeze over and we are not allowed to move boats then but that usually only lasts d...

Yes. It would seem a shame to cut bigger sails. I would prefer to trade the larger for smaller actual fit sails if anyone has or knows of a need. For giggles I posted on CraigsList here: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/boa/935570086.html I think the price is high but maybe I'll gret someone to swa...

Sails for a Chrysler 22 needed. Main and Jib

Never mind, Pulled the trigger on new sails today.

Anyone here have a set of usable sails for a C22?
I bought a 76 22 with nice sails and found they are way to big! LOL!

IF no one has sails, does anyone have any idea what I might expect to pay for decent used sails?

Thanks!

With all do respect and asbsolute concerm, I fail to understand why you need quick disconnect shrouds. Please understand I have a limited perspective and do not wish any ill feellings but why disconnect the shrouds? On both my 75 and my 76 I see no reason to ever disconnect the shrouds on a regular ...

Dang, another disappointment.

Well, it is cold but sunny and I have the day off so I went out at 9:00 am to raise the sails on Lady Di, our 1976 22. It seems the previous owner was less than honest with me. While I have a pair of decent sails, a main and a Jib, they are no where near the size needed for this boat!. It seems he s...

I need a main and a jib off a chrysler 22.

Usable condition is required, race condition is not! LOL! I'll not be racing!

Anyone out there have a set they can part with cheap or very very reasonable?

Thanks!

NYC Sailor, I just double checked on the rubbing compound, it is 3M Marine rubbing compound. I tried the 3M Polish shortly after and was not happy so I stopped. All the photos you see are after rubbing coumpound however before any type of polish or wax. This spring, I'll re-rub the hull out and then...

Who made the spars on a 22?

Anyone here know who made the masts on a Chrysler 22?
I'm looking to buy a gooseneck from RIGRITE.COM but I presume they will want to know the manufacturer of the spar!

Thanks for any input!

Hi Fran! Got some photos posted! The new mast step hinge plate with the mast up, a distance shot, close up of one of the spreaders with the fix, and a stepped back shot of the spreaders with both changed to the new bracket! I did not step back to far though because I was on the roof of my house!LOL!...

I can not speak from experience on the LEDs for light but I intend on the same. As far as Microwaves on a sailboat? No. Do not waste your time unless you spend all your days tied to a dock. I have a 40 foot boat with 4 HUGE 6 volt batteries for house and a separate starter battery. The microwave we ...

I'm so sorry, I just had to do that! Well, now that you are here and reading, Today was a good day! We used the stock mast step and hook but found the mast to be almost completely uncon...

Hey Alan, Any chance your boat was at the Edmonds Guest moorage dock sitting parallel to the brake water just below the restaurants? I have a compass that is mounted to the cockpit just starboard of the companion way next to the knot meter.

I however remove it and leave it put away most of the time and only get it out when I have a need for it. That way it is out of the way most of the time.

C22 Mast Step Hinge

Well, I have not documented it yet but I have replaced the mast step on "Lady Di". Lady Di, is the newer C22 I recently purchased. She was always refered to as "The new boat" prior to this. I have added to my site a couple of photos. One before and one after the mast step change....

Hey Chris, The bridles I made are very simple. Stainless steal wire was used. Each leg of the bridle including the eye is 33 inches long. I could not find an actual spec for it so I used the C22 Manual that is posted at this link to eyeball the length. http://chryslersailing.lizards.net/images/c22_m...
