NYCSailor!!!! Hang tight before you spend all that money!!!!! What is your time frame for unstepping? I'm currently struggling with getting the video from my HDrecorder onto my PC so I can format it. Once I format it for downloading off the internet I'll post it. The Single Handed method of stepping...

How about a figure 8 knot on each one as a stopper knot?
That is what I have done.

Make sure your running lights work first.Steaming light is not required however I'd make it work too.

Carry a bright flashlight to light up you sails should another boat head your way. You must be seen or the likelyhood of an accident increases dramatically!

ENJOY!

LOL! Yes, I guess you are correct! 39 degrees this morning! I can barely sleep when it is above about 64 in our bedroom! I'd have to swap all my heated gear for cooling gear! LOL! For those that sail in cold weather, I have a Gerbing heated jacket liner for riding. It works well on my boat too! On t...

Good lord . . .

Putting the AC away? Sheesh I commute on a motorcycle.
Today was about 41 degrees when I came in! ( wee hours in the morning )

Sheesh, what I'd give to commute in 70 degree weather for more than a couple of months!

I'm envious of your facilities!!!!

Don't feel bad we lost two pins, both into the boom, which required drilling out the riveits because the rattling was making me insane. We slow learners drilled a hole through the pin (also a 5/8's bolt with the head and thread end cut off) and stick a big cotter pin through it to prevent it from f...

Stepping the mast Single handedly C22 Chrysler 22

Well, OK, I was going to do it anyway but at the requests here I figure it is the least I can do to give back from the forum where I've already learned so much. Here is the link http://captainscottsailing.com/SteppingTheMast.html I wrote this last night with photos that I already had. If you click t...

OK, I see two basic questions for me 1) What did I polish the new boat with 2) Can I provide details on stepping the mast alone on "Lady Jo" 1) The as of yet named new boat is polished with a McQuires Marine rubbing compound for Highly Oxidized Gelcoat. No wax applied yet. The rubbing comp...

Yeah, that is one of my favorite photos. It came out very nicely. I do have videos of stepping the mast alone on the C22. I used the diagrams on the Chrysler Crew Site and made the bridles. They work great and I can step the mast alone without any real effort. I can easly put the videos on a DVD how...

New C22 owner here!

Well I've been reading and soaking up enough info from this forum I thought I'd better go ahead and join! Last spring a bought a very nice 1975 C22. Been going over it ever since! Dropped it in the water and promptly broke the cable that lifts the keel! Took me quite a while to get her off the trail...
