I would like to place it in a better spot to make it easer to use. Where do you have your VHF radio located ...

I bought a Mercury 9.9 Prokicker for my boat. A frend of mine has one on his boat in the San Fransico bay and he says it will push at hull speed. He got the 20 in. shaft beacuse the 25 in. will not clear the water when tilted up. I have not had a chance to use mine yet beacuse the lake is down 188 f...

We have named our boat but have not Christened her yet but will do that before putting her in the water. We are going to spray the champange on instead of braking the bottle on her. I don't want to take a chance of putting a ding in her. Besides she might get mad at me for hurting her and payback mi...

Leaking windows
I just got my boat back from the shop after having a new motor added and it had rained a couple of times while at the shop. I noticed water around the windows. Was talking to the previous owner about the leaks and he said trust me the water is coming from the screws in the teak that holds the slidin...

Naming your sailboat
When you bought your sailboat did it have a name? IF it did, did you change the name or keep it. If you changed the name did you go through a denaming ceremony first. We used Vigor's denaming ceremony to denaming our sailboat to apeas the Gods. We will rename the sailboat with a christening ceremony...

Beau I contacted the previous owner and his halyard were on the outside of mast when he bought the boat new. He did not like the banning of the halyards on the mast at night when thay spent the night on the boat. So he ran his jib halyard into the mast about 4 inches below the pully on the mast head...

Jib halyard
Have any of you that have a c-26 changed the jib halyard if so
what size of line did you use. I need to replace my jib halyard, it looks like
5/16 in. but what I can fined is that every thing says 3/8 in.

Hi all I love this site found it about a month ago while researching chrysler sailboats. About two weeks my wife and I became proud owners of a 1979 26 foot chrysler sailboat. We bought it from a dear friend who we have know for 35 years. She is in mint condition. Has not been in the water for about...
