I also have the inboard controls but mine are the port side with power tilt button on the handle. The keyed ignition switch is just above port cockpit drain It also has auto choke. When eng is cold you push in on the key when starting eng.Also have an amp meter just above the ignition switch.

From my understanding there is a sleeve that is inside the mast to prevent any compression of the mast. The P.O told me if I ever take the spreaders off to be sure and put a screw driver or some thing in as you pull the bolt out so you don't lose the sleeve

The P.O. had his VHF and CB radio mounted inside the galley on the side under the sink They were early 1980s radios. I bought a new VHF radio witch is about one third the side of the old one. I have a Mercury 9.9 prokicker. The charging system has alternator that produces 76 watts and 6 amps. and I just added from West marine a solor pannel for trickle charge.

And we are goning to get some rain on Thursday and Friday. Maybe the lake will start coming back up. It is down 203 feet from the top now. Can not launch the boat until it comes back up.

I like the idea of sleeping head to starboard in the rear berth. EE, how did you fix the ladder to be removable. I thank I will would do the same. I am 6 feet tall and my wife is 5'2" so that would work great.

You want to make sure the brakes are working properly. When I bought my boat back in July the owner said the brakes wrer in good working order. WRONG :evil:. To make a long story short the master cylinder was all rusted up and leaked real bad, same with the brake cylinders and every thing was frozen...

Finely got the teak that holds the sliding hatch in place sanded down and refinished along with the rest of the teak on top of the boat. I filled the screws holes that are along the siding hatch with Silicone rubber sealant then put the teak in place and filled the screw holes in the teak with silic...

We went with champagne instead of the home made wine for the christening ceremon. We wanted to do it right so we bought 2 bottles of very good champange one to christen with and one to drink afterwards.

The previous owner named the boat but never put the name on the boat the only thing that had a name on it was the horse shoe that they had on the stern of the boat.

When you bought your sailboat did it have a name? IF it did, did you change the name or keep it. If you changed the name did you go through a denaming ceremony first. We used Vigor's denaming ceremony to denaming our sailboat to apeas the Gods. We will rename the sailboat with a christening ceremony...

There is a plush cream color carpet that looks like new but has to be at least 20 some years old. No one has be in the boat for over 13 years. He kept it cover with 5 layers of tarps. My wife says the cream carpet has got to go.

Hi keysskipper Thay never burthed the boat always trailered. No one was allowed down in the cabin with shose on. You always had to take then off. Beau I contacted the previous owner and his halyard were on the outside of mast when he bought the boat new. He did not like the banning of the halyards on the mast at night when thay spent the night on the boat. So he ran his jib halyard into the mast about 4 inches below the pully on the mast head...

Have any of you that have a c-26 changed the jib halyard if so
what size of line did you use. I need to replace my jib halyard, it looks like
5/16 in. but what I can fined is that every thing says 3/8 in. :?:

Hi Archy Not in the water yet. Wating on a new motor I order a new mercury 9.9 big foot prokicker. The motor should be in next week sometime. The old owner and I tryed to start the old eng but would not start could be the fuel pump sense it has not been started for about 13 years Bob -/)- ~~~

Yes it is the original trailer, and it has a few rust spots on it but other than that it is in good shape.
Will get out a take a few pictures of the inside today.
