33 feet should be more than enough. An easy way to figure how long you mainsheet should be is, rig the mainsheet as it should be, then swing the boom out 90 degrees from center and add about a foot from the cam cleat, and that should do it. Since you should never have you sail farther than 90 degree...

Your on the right track, it's really rather streight forward.. Q. how does this unit work... ? just push it forward and it shifts forward and accelerates? same as reverse in one single throw of the lever ? A: Correct, one lever handles shifting then throttle in each direction. The pull-out button ju...

Summer Sailstice on the St. Croix River, upper midwest found light winds with no wakes zone due to flooding. The light winds allowed us to shake out the 150 jib that I picked up in eBay last year. Is sail will be great for the days that the wind was less that 7mph when we would not usally go sailing...

Welcome Sea_Green Personally I don't really miss not having pushpit railing. I think it makes it a lot easer to get up the stern ladder when swimming off the boat with out it, and with the back stays on the stern you have some hand holds if needed. However if you plan on stepping your mast for trail...

I have not tried running the main loose footed. However I have had my outhaul come loose in a good gust, and that would be a real mess if it was loose footed. Not to highjack this string, but it seems relevant to the topic. What type of set-up are folks using for their main sail outhaul? I'm ...

What would be the correct through hull to use, the part the big hose connects to? Any one have a picture or illistration of the proper assembly of th...

Door County Trip 2014
We are looking at sailing Door County Wisconsin (on Green Bay) the end of July, first week of August. Thinking of launching around Sturgeon Bay and sailing up the bay side to Washington Island. Stopping along the way to take in the various cherry festivals that I think take place that time of year.....

I have had no issues with water in the stern locker, but I do operate in fresh water. May need extra care in salt water. Just make sure any connections in the stern locker are water tight. You will have more water in that locker when your motoring, as the C22 has a tendency to squat in the stern und...

Personally, for the ease of cleaning the cock-pit and the stern locker is a lot easer to keep that a locker wet. It easy to hose everything down and have it drain out. Also since I keep my fuel tank in the stern locker I feel the drains give that area the extra ventilation to keep gas fumes from bui...

Corey, do you just need the windows or the entire Pop up inclosure? I created an enclosure that velcros between the top of the pop-up and the base. It works well, but I wonder how well it would hold in a heavy blow. http://i929.photobucket.com/albums/ad138/rbakersacres_photos/Sailboat/th_IMG_2305.jpg
