Maremma's were breedi on the Italian side of the Alps the Pyrenees on the French side. They are smaller and stay closer to the herd than the Pyrenees. And t...

Not another one!!!

We were working in the cabin and needed more light. The lighting reveled another crack in the sole. It is between the table and the bench on the port side, near the head. It looks to be wet still like the crack near the bilge area.
Have any of you seen this?

After working on my boat I have decided not to put an access hatch to the bilge in my sole. If you want to get the water out block up your trailer so the boat is nose high. Remove the bilge pump and stick a shop vac hose down it and suck away. The problem we are having with our boats is that wood un...

Is there a way I could add a hinge to the existing post?

I have not raised the mast yet so I have no idea how she moves as she goes up.
That is why I have all the questions.

What mast hinge and block set up would you prefer?
Blocks left on the boat?
Blocks on the mast?
Why?

I am in the boat with you. I never even took a drafting course in high school. I am a self taught engineer

To prevent cracking of the aluminum all you do in increase the radius of the bend from .25" to .5".

I will make the correction to the drawing The holes to attach the base are an unknown to me and I can do that when id know th...

Oooo I like it!
I really like the mast plate idea. I want to redo the foredeck and having all that hardware out of the way will really clean the new deck up.

Scot
The hinge has real merit.
How long have you used a hinge?
