C-20 for sale

Well, she's on the block  Asking price is $1700 and I kinda hope nobody calls. If so, I would consider that karma. I've only had her out once this entire summer due to my slow pace of repairing her but have been getting my sailing fix on the DS2 (not the same. ) The pros and cons list fo...

I love that boat! I can just picture one of those in my driveway. Of course, my driveway would not be the same driveway I have now. It would be a different drive way. Different from the one that would go to my old house which now belongs to the ex!. LMAO, Better to ogle from afar for now.

Wow!.. a whole week aboard your sail boat with your babe. Talk about having your cake and eating it too! Wonderful! I managed to squeeze in an afternoon on Hubbard Lake during a 4th of July work/play week (just the wife and I :) ) painting and putting up stair rails for the inlaws. Unfortunately the...

Thanks All! ... and JM, I sprayed two coats of Krylon Almond -Dual satin paint/primer along the entire keel. Not a perfect match up close, but it's a keel. I figure that function is the primary importance of the bottom side of anything over forty years old! There was some minor chipping along ...

I'll be at Hubbard Lake! :D Going up on Tuesday for a work/pleasure long weekend. If I have my way, we'll be at the dock watching fireworks around the lake on the 20 with a couple friends. Just got done painting the interior hull wall almond and looking for a nice piece of plush carpet for the v-ber...

I'd love to Scott, as soon as I can get up your way.......and your boat is up on jack stands of course! The neighbors must have been howling as the watched me squeeze my can between the trailer rail and the hull to get to the forward keel area. It wasn't pretty I'm sure! I swear that trailer was get...

Terrence, I do 99.9% of my sailing at Stony Creek Metropark here in MI. 498 acres (smaller when you avoid the Milfoil beds), and have a great time. You may love pond sailing too! Total low stress sailing. You can leave the GPS at home and the launch is always in close reach for the return trip ...

One of These Days... The Texas 200!

I've read about and seen pictures of the famed Texas 200. Finally, the 2012 T200 vids and pics are starting to surface. Now this looks like my kind of sailing adventure and from what I've seen, they need Chryslersailor representation. I can close my eyes and visualize me flying down the Texas coast ...

Keel Repair 99.5% Done... Not LMAO!!!

Nothing but the painting to do now. Believe me, squeezing my 250 LB. carcass under that trailer in 90 degree heat for four days to to an upside down epoxy keel repair sucked all the joy out of sailboat ownership (temporarily, of course  ) As I prep for painting, all I can think about was the ti...

I'm glad she's 'normalized' too. The boat is just too darn good looking to be sporting a blue tarp lanteen forever, no matter how practical. Now she's a classic again. My bother has an MOW hanging around his barn. I'm dying to give it a try!

Lotsa Bucs 'n Mutts

First time on a race committee. Very interestng! I'm glad the the CreekFleet is a laid back group. The finish times were somewhat questionable, I'm blaming on the start/finish buoys being in line with the setting sun  and other general organizational issues (me). It was a beautiful day, lots of...

I wonder what it would be like to have a Chrysler boat that did not need restoring! Personally, for me, it would not be good. There are soooo many things one can do to even a pristine boat to pimp it out. When grocery shopping with the wif at Wallysmart, I'm the kind of guy that strays to the auto ...
