Welcome back all. We made through the Mayan end of times thing. ...And Bill, if you'd have made the suggestion Thursday, I may have considered your offer, just in case WE ARE able to 'take it with us'. Today I'm back into reality, Christmas bills to pay, etc, so I'll woefully have to decline. If San...

12-21-12: Last Day to Sail!

It's been a bit since I last checked in, I just wanted to wish all my Chryslersailor buddies a great last day. Live it up! Anyone out there going out (literally) on their boat tomorrow? If I had my choice, I would if I still had my C20 (maybe, supposed to snow). My DS2 has a hole in the hull that ne...

The wif's really smart and I've been hung by my own tongue too many times. I prefer to text than talk. My fingers are real fat so I keep my messages short and don't go back to fix typos. Sent the wife a message: 'I'll be home late. Got to look at a great deal on a toab'. That was the night I dragged...

Looks like there's still some room in the driveway too, LOL http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-Chrysler-26-Used-Sailboat-Rhode-Isl...

I like to watch 'em, but to sail 'em? ...... There's no room for a radio to play Jimmy Buffet tunes or even a place to put a cooler! Heck, they even look cold. I would consider trying one that was enclosed and had a heater though.

Thanks Bob. The price is right! Looks interesting from the pics. A good clean up, maybe a new rudder. Quite an interesting repair job on that from the pic, looks like he sandwiched an old one between two pieces of sheet metal, LOL. Oh... and would need to find a new place of residence, judging from ...

The rescue search is still ongoing for the captain, and unfortunately, the woman who was washed into the sea as she was trying to leave the ship, did not make it. The dock my boat was tied up to on Thursday is gone. Half the marina has been destroyed, looks as though six boats sunk and more on there way, and the high winds are supposed to continue through the evening. My boat is still standing but moving, if it slips off the forward shoring, she'll be on the...

Why was the Bounty even at sea!

Many questions will be asked, and answers will be given, but here's a great blog post about it from my favorite lady sailor. I thought it deserved a separate post.

Hola y Bienvenidos Sr. El Pescado! For the Cabin/keel area, I would tip the boat forward and use a wet vac, hitting the keel area, side stowage area and the anchor bunker. Of course, a bilge pump would have been much easier, but I never got around to getting one  I finally figured out a myster...

Nice boat dubbinchris. DiverDarren put a lot work in her and she looks pretty good from here. How'd the mast/cabin roof hold up on the ride back? I always used the bow pulpit and the stern rail for support.

Dang, I totally forgot that you had expressed some interest in a C-20 last year or I would have shot you a note. Unfortunately she was sold earlier this month. It was truly a great boat. The only issue 'I' had with her was that the trailer did not have much time left on it in my op. One side had alr...

Bob, When I was over to visit, the wif caught me eyeballing your Mac! Very nice boat ... and price too. Unfortunately(or fortunately?) the C-22 deal didn't go through. I was fishing for a swap plus cash bid involving the DS2, with the rationale that there would still be only one boat at the house. A...
