I found some additional info on the subject at the loos website... http://loosnaples.com/how-tos/tension-gauges http://68.171.211.157/how-to-use-90-91 I'll start there and ask a few question at secosouth...I'll post any additional info as I find it, looks like I'll be asking Santa for a tension gauge!

Rigging tension

So I got all new standing rigging this year, but it did not get installed, looks like it will have to wait till the spring, so here is my question, what is the proper tension to place on the rigging? I have seen tension gages out there and I would assume that they would be handy in determining port ...

Well, I found a 2009 Tohatsu 9.8 within driving distance. 4 stroke, electric start and extra long shaft. I've read Tohatsu makes the Mercs and Nissans. I love my Mercs so I will go look at the motor. The owner cautioned me that it would be way over powering the C22. Figure I prefer over power than ...

Looks like I might be getting a new vehicle, if so I would not mind getting something that I can pull the c22 with. What is the minimum weight that a vehicle needs to be rated to pull the c22 ? 3500 lbs? What does this beast really weigh ? Has anyone ever weighd the rig like on a truck scale? Any in...

Here is what Chrysler had to say about raising the mast of the c22 http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad276/marinerc22/mastraisecopy.jpg I found it as a beat up laminated card under the vinyl liner against the hull where the little storage holes are, forward berth, I cleaned it up as much as time wo...

I used to get water in from the top but the biggest issue was dust and dirt, I cut a piece of pipe insulation, the kind with a slit in it for water pipes and just place it over the top of the top hatch board, works like a charm. You could also cut to length and shape a piece of roofing ridge ventila...
