You're absoulutely right, it would work well. It is my speculation that many people "borrowed" that very untraditional design. It gives the boat more control and tacking radius. J-boats have had that design for as long as I can remember. It my be a fun project. I assume you don't have the ...

Scott has simplified both my degrees into a couple of sentences. And , as usual, he could not be more right. Get a keel on it first. The test that Scott is desribing is the perfect way to make a cutter. The tricke part comes when you want to run that fine line of stability and performance. I...

Yes Mark,
I definately do. I had to move my jack from the tongue and on to the body. I don't put alot of pressure on it. I have found that I don't need to use it when I use less tongue. And I only try to use as much as I need.

Kinda sad really. You'd think maybe the person could have donated it or something. My concern is that younger people will not have inexpensive starter boats available and they will think that sailing is only for the rich. I've seen boats worse than that used for training youth and to help get them i...

I wish I had a picture. I will try to get one. Picture this. a small box with open top epoxied to the inner wall facing the cockpit in the inside of the starboard lazerette locker. I hope that makes sense. All three, or in my Dad's case 4, lay next to each other. That was std equipment on some C&...

Enjoy.

I always appreciate an invite like that. Great choice on the slip. I enjoyed the thrashing of the Vols a couple weeks ago. It's the wierdest thing, they're always saying wierd things around here like "State plays Notre Dame this weekend." And all I can wonder is how that can be, since Flor...
