I'm sure I can speak for most of us MN/WI Chrysler sailers that are looking at 14 degrees below this morning, that would LOVE to go sailing on Christmas Day.
Tell her that you need to go sailing for those who can't
And if you do please upload a picture. 8)

Not good to rely on the lifeline, if any part gives out you'll be doing a man over board drill
The guys on racing boats sit with there legs over the side and resting there back against the side of the cabin.

I think EE's got the plan for you but you may need to go swimming to help feed the rudder stem back up.

What online sailing is happening this winter?

Soon the water will be hard and the boat will be secured behind the locked gate with a snow drift in front of it  http://i929.photobucket.com/albums/ad138/rbakersacres_photos/Sailboat/th_IMG_6916.jpg In years past I've been able to go online and get my sailing fix through folks like Jessica Wat...

That sounds like a lot of work! The reinforcement for the outboard mount is only in the middle of the transon, so to move OB your would need to reinforce the transon in that new location. Not sure where you would move the main sheet traveler, could be mounted on the transon somehow, but it would nee...

I have both a 90% and an 110%.
For ease of sail handling I find the 90 is a easer sail to tack if the kids are helping sail.

Good pictures.
My son and his buddy had my Sunfish out last weekend in 20-25mph winds and had a great time. Heeling, tipping over, jumping wakes, diving through waves...as much fun as you could have with a PWC without the gas bill. 8)

You realy don't need anything over 10hp. To much motor weight makes the stern lower in the water, and as the C22 speeds up under power the stern will squat even lower in the water. Under power, at hull speed the back of the engine cowling on my Sailer 280 is in the water  Also the stock motor...

I was going to ask if you took two dinghys. It's good to be prepaired. May years ago on a charter in the Bahamas we opted for two dinghys, but that was because half the crew liked to bar hop and the other half liked to snorkel. Easy way to avoid a mutiny  Love the pictures, looks like a great t...

Round over should be all you need, remember top hull speed if your lucky will only be 7kts. With the narrow rudder body, you may experiance some water coming up through the rudder shaft/pipe the ropes that raise and lower rudder run through. Sometimes if I don't have the rudder all the way down, I g...
