"Wind" is pretty good. Its an instant paly on Net Flix

There was also a movie with Sam Neil and Niocole Kidman, takes place on a boat, wouldn't exactly call it a sailing movie. Can't remeber the name

I will always choose to be the one raising sail over handling the tiller. the sails are relatively light, if you run the lines to the cockpit she does not have to go forward. But then Ive always been very comfy crawling around on the foredeck. Jusr tell her to stay lown and she will be fine.

First time out?? Not a complete list but a good start! :) Make sure you can step your mast. Never let go of your halyards. Make sure your motor runs before arriving at the launch. Remember the pointiest part of the sail is the head or top. Put your fenders away after leaving the dock. Never yell at...

had another thought about the stern compartment. I wouldn't want to seal it up tight, it might prevent gas vapors from venting... Big Boom Results

Sounds like you have a crack in the stern compartment. Did this happen before or after you lost the keel?

You have a 22 correct. Im not sure what you are referring to when you say fuel/battery compartment. The compartment on the stern of the boat should be for fuel only. The battery on our boat is strapped in port side lazzarette about mid ships. I would think its much to wet in the stern compartment to...

I feel your pain, its happened to us and others here. Im not sure about the cable and shakle size we used about 8 feet of cable. If the keel is down you may have to get a line behind it and winch it up to get it on the trailer. You can wrap a line around both winches and take it up slowly alternatin...

I have done the queen air matress aft the v-berth...fits nicely, but takes up too much room...I wish i knew how to make a v shaped air matress cause that would be the ticket for the v-berth. Then it could be deflated during the day and stuffed out of the way... It does take up the entire cabin, mak...

What do you mean by "the bracket area"? Wow, that sounds much worse then I figured. Thanks Alan The keel brackets are nearly gone, so we have to drop the keel and replace both brackets and pin. It was the one repair we always said we would not want to attempt. Anyway we are excited...

Our New project

Here are some pics of the reconstruction of our "new" old wooden boat. Once the bottom came off we discovered some rot which required replacement of some of the cross members and the keelson. The center board trunk looked iffy so we decided just to replace it. Some more rot in the chine lo...

Given the Rub Goldberg mods we made our trailer we need about 4 feet of water to float our C-22. We use 2 20 foot tow straps looped together. One end looped around the hitch and locked down and the other looped around the vertical part of the trailer where the winch is. Our ramp is quite long and it...

Sorry I can't answer you specific questions about gauge and length. Our cable wrapped around the wince from top to bottom twice . I would be a little concerned about having punched a hole in the kel trunk, that happened to us when the cable gave way.
