We had a 1987 johnson 9.9 on our c-26 before we bought a yamaha 15. The johnson didn't have a charging system on it. You really need a manual for the year you have.

One reason we bought a yamaha instead of honda was the price and the second thing was when we looked into who could repair a honda we would have to drive 35 miles for it. How did you ground yours?

MY husband & I bought a 15 hp. Now we wished we had gotten a bigger one. My husband wants a 40 now but we bought the 15 because of the cost.

Anybody our there made cushions for a C26? and if so how did you do it?

How do you know if the c26 is grounded? What should I look for?Is the ground plate under the starboard sied storage area? How do you know if it is connected to the mast?

We bought it from a local yamaha dealer. It's a four stroke, electric, and power tilt. It is also 15 hp.The total cost was $3,320. The only bad thing is we have to wait about a month to get it. Good luck on trying to find one.

We need the measurment of steps of a c26. Ours didn't come with one. Also there is a cap on the starboard side with four electral wires coming out of it. The cap is located under the cusion on the starboard side. Anybody know where the ground bank is located on this boat or is this the ground?

we kept looking too. Our johnson 9.9 blew. We have been checking ebay and bidded on a few. We ended buying a new one from Yamaha; cost us a pretty penny.We decided to buy a new one since we didn't want to get stuck out in the middle of the atlantic. Good luck
