I have the same plan. I do lot ( or did ) of trailering in western Canada, and this dump situation is always the issue.

C22 is much easier, C 22 have only two shrouds and I was able to lower the mast with out disconnecting turn buckles.
26 have 3 shrouds on each side, and front one are offset to front to help keep mast at position. I was never able to lower mast with out disconnecting them.

Yes, I move the vang to toe-rail to keep man open as much I can. Again in light wind only. and I have extra line to shackle to open the lock from the cockpit.
There is the trick for "Traveler " on c 26, use TWO main sheets still in "V " configuration, and than you can " of set" the main. More ...

Boom Vang is generally used to shape your sale ( give it right twist ). works together with traveler and really it makes difference when is set right even on small C 22. I had one for few years. Now on my 26 have no traveler, setting the sale is more difficult. But I am using the boom vang going ...

I have difficulty to locate correct dimensions for symmetrical spinnaker for C26. I know that this information is here, but no luck so far. Anybody know correct numbers?
I never try one ( Have only asymmetrical ) and I like get one.
Or somebody have one for sale?

Same here, I will bring her to Calgary next week. To my shop, I need to do some re work on the trailer, ( Home build ) and tons of work on boat.
Planing to take my boat to Kootenay Lake, I am member of KLSA ( sailing club ) and also that is great lake for sailing
but my trailer is still prototype ...

W will need to get one as well. my old original got busted and I build emergency from carbon steel. If you have source I would like have one, or I will have one get machined in local machine shop. In this case I will take orders for more units.

Heaving to was as part of my test when I was doing my offshore Captain license. We were using Bavaria38 and within 26+ kn wind we were having lunch over 45 min below and boat was like nailed to the spot ( some side drifting )

My is still on Ghost, now I am busy with skiing, but in few weeks I have bring her to Calgary for major clean up and service.
I have still in box , on board GPS with fish finder, never had a chance to install. My Mast rigging system is still BFI , never had a chance to finish it. and list goes on ...

I got my boat at Port Huron and dragged it to Calgary Alberta Canada with old Chev van 6.2 diesel.
What a trip. Went even thru snow storm.
Now I have GM suburban 6.5 TD, no really problems. Some in mountains when is very hot.
But good balance and tracking is important and go with out or bad ...

On my C 26 my SL 45 quit. Digital speed / log Horizon SL 45

I already have one ( On the picture - Sail Pending) but I have so much extra equipment (14 sails any kind) that I would like to put together other one as little project. And have one on the lake and one for trailering around. ( or for sale in the future)
