I have the Chrysler 22 in storage in Hampstead, NC, and apparently it made it through the storm just fine (according to the boatyard at least). I'm curious to go down and take a look to be honest, but I think everything still closed down there.
Maybe is a sign from Poseidon?

Re: New unbelievable mast raising system
I had a better system using a 12x6, a winch, some ratchet straps, and a block. I'll have to diagram it sometime. I'm planning in setting up the same system to raise and lower the Compac 23 mast.

Re: I did it! I bought a boat today.
Gus, you and I may be the only 2 people on the planet with both a Chrysler and a ComPac ! 8) (Agree on the outboard, I'd flip it over to the correct side a while and pull the plug before starting to be sure no oil is in the head) Most likely! I ponder about giving the boat away, I just can't. Maybe...

Re: I did it! I bought a boat today.
Hello! Awesome, solid boats. I can't seem to get rid of mine even though I recently bought a Compac 23. I hate to be a stick in the mud, but I was looking at your pictures, and according to the instructions that came with my Tohatsu outboard, I have to store it horizontally with the tiller down so o...

Hello! Welcome. Capt Scott is right. The boat weights about 3,000 pounds, plus all the gear. Solid boat all around. I used to tow it with a 2004 V6 Tundra.

Re: C22 Keel Bracket/Pin Kits for Sale
Hello, it's been a while. I'm trying to get my 22 back on the water after a long hiatus, and one of the things I do want to service is the keel. Same question, are you still making the brackets?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The saga continues... I never knew buying a boat was so complicated! I went to see an S2 8.5 last week. I tried calling the seller again, he never answer the phone or return my calls, so I went back to search, and I found the same boat, newer, for less money, but it is in Virginia, so road trip this...

I already went through that when I bought the boat. Removing the toe rails and removing all the silicone was a very frustrating job.retclt wrote:My PO used white silicone to fill the entire circumference of the hull / deck interface. It leaks everywhere. I'll be using similar adult language soon too.

Well... let's see... Gus is short for Gustavo. I'm from Argentina, but I lived in the US since 1997. I started thinking about sailing during my first deployment to Afghanistan. My first boat was a Mac-23 that I bought unseen (big mistake) in 2004, but I learned how to fix boats. Epoxy, fiber work, e...

I second that one, I got mine at Walmart back in 2006. Still works fine. I paid like 75 bucks for it or so. Greetings jeff! I just got one from a local camping store. Even Wal-Mart carries them. One thing I forgot to mention, and this is by far in the 'top ten' list: a 1960's depth finder, in working condition! It is also a bit scary the whole maintenance thing. Compared to the C-22, everything is BIGGER. I was impressed with the construction of the boat, very solid, and having a almost new (2008) diesel engine it is a good selling point (I told the owner that). I guess I have a lot of thinking to do. I'm ...

Well, today I went to take a look at the Alberg. I got lost big time, so after driving around for 2 hours, I found the marina. One thing I learned, the gas locker gets VERY wet, and I had the bilge pump exit at the very end, and water will siphon back inside the boat from the gas locker. I glassed the whole, threw the whole electric bilge pump overboard, and I went with a manual gusher bilge pump. I had it mounted in a piec...

If you have the original galley like mine had, I had a listing to starboard. I added a battery to the port side, but that wasn't enough, so I took the galley out :D I think two batteries might be a bit of weight to consider, so I might put them as amidships as I could, maybe behind the bulkhead supp...
