The calcium chloride used as deicer is anhydrous (it doesnt have any water molecules attached) when it comes into contact with water (ice) it absorbs it and this process gives off heat which melts the ice. The calcium chloride then dissoves in the water and this further reduces its freezing point. I...

I just saw this post that you replied to. I have a C22 I think its 1980 although the plate is very worn.
I am interested in getting tension information for Forestay, back stay and shrouds. If you have any data that may be use ful I would appreciate that.

Hi I have a C22 and we sail on a tidal estuary. The main engine is a 5HP Mercury outboard which gets us inand out of the moorings without any difficulty. Hi Cavah, Yes Im home and awake. Im new to the board and will be reading and posting regularly. I have recently aquired a C22 she's sailable but needs some attention here and there. She's birthed at Lytham Dock in Lancashire, North of England.
